Да потому что как обычно, дело ясное что дело темное, и как карта ляжет предсказать невозможно :)
I understand that a new US Government-furnished 6.9 mm NGSW projectile will be provided to SIG, as well as a 6.5 mm projectile. This combined with 70 psi seems to be creating an alignment with the FN 6.5 x 45 mm LICC. Accuracy with NGSW past 200 metres is / was a concern. What I am also hearing is that the testing of 5.56 mm and 7.62 mm hybrid cartridges has been so impressive, that they somewhat question the logic of moving to an entirely new calibre, especially as the US Army budget is under such pressure. I think the Army has to start delivering with NGSW, otherwise it might go the same ways as the ERCA cannon.
